Learning happens in so many different ways – when the formal system pauses, the informal takes over. The children are learning to cook and importantly it’s becoming a habit and there is a sense of ownership about it – looking after the prep and post cooking cleaning too !
Our 13 year old has always shown an interest in cooking more than our ‘about to start uni’ daughter so when we proposed doing ‘ demo’ videos for the website he was the first to volunteer. “Mom, this is fun anyway, not the laborious cooking I have seen you or Alaka ( his grandmother) do – open the pack, mix ,sauté, done! I am happy to cook ”
Age or gender no bar – so glad Cook-A-Curry is widening the ability to cook…. and spreading happiness….
